| I'm gonna be the lone voice here and say it's the shape. The reason the outfit works from the back is because of the rise of the vest and skirt. From the front, the vest has a visual rise or indent, as does the skirt. If either the vest or the skirt were leveled off, I think it would look better. But the shortening in both shortens your lower body. That detail coupled with the white of the skirt, which draws attention to the inicsscntanoy, makes this outfit a bit off, as you say. |
